What is your role at ECMS?

As the Business Development Manager, I am responsible for bringing ECMS’s offer to the market to generate new business and articulate ECMS’ value proposition.

What has been your biggest challenge in your career so far and how have you overcome it?

My biggest challenge has been entering new industries like insurance or technology without prior subject matter knowledge, but I have overcome it by utilising my network and asking the right questions to build a bigger picture.

What is the best piece of advice you have been given by anyone?

One of the best pieces of advice I have been given is to own your work and take responsibility for it to build your legacy. Another great tip is to find at least 10% of someone's conversation that you can agree on and ask them questions about it to keep the conversation going.

If you were not in sales/business development, what would you be?

I would probably be in entrepreneurship, as I have always been fascinated by business and how to make money. I get this from my mum, who is an economist.

What is your favourite part about what you do?

I enjoy having interesting conversations and being in front of clients, and of course, seeing results, hopefully monetary.

What is the proudest moment of your career?

My proudest moment was launching around 300 new businesses in the UK market in my previous role, including four e-scooter companies. I was at the forefront of their entry into the UK market during DfT's micro-mobility trials.

What is your favourite way to relax on the weekends?

I love sports and fitness, so a game of touch rugby or a boot camp in Hyde Park followed by brunch with friends and exploring new bars or restaurants with live music.A nice day out with my partner followed by a roast at an ‘oldie’ pub also works a treat.

What is one thing not many people know about you?

Not many people know that I am originally from Estonia, but my twang is from Bradford.

Why did you choose ECMS?

I was drawn to ECMS's entrepreneurial spirit and the opportunity to showcase my creative skills and grow professionally.
