A personal lines insurer were significantly behind achieving a key systems implementation following an IT support exit, and were in significant danger of non-delivery, whilst overspending an original budget.
Challenge
The original requirements specification was over-ambitious and not connected to the key project objective. Stakeholders had lost confidence in the ultimate project.

The requirements were reset to a base functional minimum and the supplier closely managed to deliver to the required timescales.
