Background
Following an IT project to develop a new database through development, the project required an automation testing approach to ensure the validity of the new source data.
Challenge
The models and processes themselves were highly complex and required sophisticated testing, selecting the best applications for each process, identifying which aspects were viable for automation testing and which were suited for manual testing.
Solution
We deployed a specialist automation testing team to work closely with the development team and end-users. Once the scope of automation had been defined from the programme, ECMS set about establishing the appropriate test tools to be used and then created the test plans for execution.
Outcome
ECMS were successful in the delivery of an automated testing solution that improved confidence in the master data focused on increased coverage and reduced cycle time, whilst allowing a manual focus to remain on specific aspects that required human assessment.
