What drives you?

I am driven by the opportunity to excel in sales, meet and exceed targets, and, most importantly, build genuine connections with my existing contractors. Acting as their trusted consultant and career advisor allows me to contribute to their success and the overall growth of the business. By focusing on these aspects, I strive for excellence and create long-lasting partnerships that benefit both parties.

What is the best piece of advice you have been given?

Peter Udall, one of the brains behind Mainstay Asia, dropped a real gem with this advice: we have to see people as relationships, not just transactions. It's like giving our connections a personal touch – that sets us apart from the rest in this cutthroat game. By focusing on building genuine relationships, not just quick deals, we're carving out our unique place in a sea of competition. It's all about creating trust, showing respect, and getting where others might miss the mark. This approach allows us to stand out, foster loyalty, and ultimately crush it in a crowded market.

What is the proudest moment in your career to date? 

The sense of accomplishment of finding challenging employment that is an excellent fit for an applicant's abilities and aspirations is something to be proud of. This can mean getting a candidate their ideal job or guiding them into a position that takes their career to the next level.

Another is to place a candidate in a challenging industry or position after overcoming obstacles. This may entail convincing a client to consider a candidate with unorthodox experience or devising innovative strategies to meet hiring requirements.

What do your clients say about working with you?

What truly stands out is when clients mention how we've understood their challenges inside-out and crafted solutions tailored precisely to their needs. And it's not just about the work; our responsiveness, professionalism, and clear communication seem to have made a real difference throughout our journey together. Hearing such feedback only fuels our commitment to delivering top-notch services and going above and beyond to ensure our clients' satisfaction. It's what keeps us motivated every single day.

What effect do you want to have on your industry with your work?

I aim to establish myself as a highly efficient consultant with a deep understanding of technology and market dynamics within the data and digital vertical. My goal is to leave a lasting impression by providing insightful recommendations, leveraging my knowledge and delivering results that drive measurable impact for clients.

I choose ECMS because of its commitment to excelling in the industry through a shared belief in specialisation. ECMS prioritises being a specialist in the market rather than engaging in sporadic work across diverse areas. Instead, the focus is cultivating enduring relationships with selected clients for long-term success.

I used to be in a choir; if I were not in the recruitment and consultancy industry, I’d be in music.
